Nano Brows – Microblading

Fuller, Thicker, Bolder Brows

Nano brows (also known as nanoneedle or micropigmentation) is a permanent makeup technique that involves using a hand-held machine to create hair-like eyebrow strokes. Nano brows are a semi- permanent tattoo that will last roughly one to two years depending on skin type. Many of my clients often refer to my nano brow services as microblading, but it’s actually an entirely unique technique from microblading.

The tool used for nano brows utilizes digital technology to allow for more precise depth of pigment placement and more natural-looking brow strokes. Nano brows technology is less traumatic for the skin compared to microblading. It is currently the safest and most effective technique for permanent brow makeup.

My Nano Brow Services

Nano Brow

I understand every client is unique and we will consult on the day of the appointment to decide whether we want to just create hair strokes or if we want to use a combination of the hairstroke and powder makeup technique. During the appointment I will be creating a shape natural to you using a series of delicate mapping techniques. We will also discuss color and aftercare treatment. Anyone could be a good candidate for nano brows, because it is such a gentle technique. I will reach out after booking for a short phone consultation to go over a few important details before the appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Long Do Nano Brows & Powder Brows Results Last?

Nano brows and powder brows are semi-permanent treatments. The pigment will last for about 1-2 years, but it could last longer depending on several factors (skin type, age, sun exposure, skin products used, pigment color used, etc.). I typically recommend a refresh every 12-15 months to properly maintain shape, detail, and color.

I recommend avoiding exercise or strenuous physical activity for at least seven days after your nano brow or powder brow treatment. This will reduce sweating in that area and give your brows the proper time they need to heal.

I can help you obtain the shape and style that best suits your face. However, if there are brow shapes and colors you have in mind, compiling a few reference photos for me is a good idea. Filling in your eyebrows as you normally would will also help me get a good feel for your style. If you use Retinol, you should stop using the product at least two weeks before your appointment. You should also limit sun exposure before your appointment. You don’t want to come to the appointment with a sunburn, because the skin will then already be irritated.

You’ll want to keep the treated area clean for the first week by rinsing the area with lukewarm water, padding with a dry disposable paper towel, and applying a thin layer of aftercare ointment three times a day. The second week after your appointment, you can drop down to rinsing two times a day. You’ll also no longer have to apply the ointment in the second week. You can shower and bathe as you normally would, but avoid using soap or cleaners on the treated area. You’ll also want to avoid direct sun exposure and makeup application in the treated area for the first two weeks.

Unlike getting a permanent tattoo, pain during nano brow process is minimal. I will apply a topical numbing agent during the procedure and the nanoneedle is so gentle that anything you feel from the needle will be slight.
